Track Biography:
Set amongst the picturesque Blackstairs Mountains, our race track is located close to the parade ring, bookies, final fence and the finish line making it extremely assessable for all of the family to view the day’s action.
Our point-to-point is located on the grounds of the beautiful Borris House which is one of the few intact living Irish estates that can trace its history back to Brehon times, and the royal ruling families of ancient Ireland. The estate is the family home of the 16th generation of McMorrough Kavanagh’s and still contains the majority of its original furniture, paintings, documentary archives and other historic family artefacts.
Borris House is a popular wedding venue with a range of beautiful accommodation offers to choose from as well as providing tours of the estate.

By Road
From Dublin - Take the N7 towards Limerick/Cork/Waterford. Continue onto the M8 until division in the road, keep left and continue on the M9. Follow signs for N10/Waterford/Kilkenny. At junction 6, take the R448. Take the R705 to Borris village
From Kilkenny - From the M9, take the R702 east through Gowran and Gorsebridge to Borris. The point-to-point will be sign posted from the village.

MONBEG CHIT CHAT caught the eye when finishing second behind Derrinross at Oldtown at the beginning of February, and he therefore likely sets the standard amongst this big entry. Chase Me has plenty of placed form to his name and that experience will stand to him, whilst Star Tackle is another who has filled the frame previously. Fortune Hunter stepped-up to finish second at Punchestown last month, and he is another that could enter the shake-up.

DAZZ THE DREAMER was 10 lengths clear when coming down at the final fence in a big field contest at Belharbour at the beginning of February. She must therefore be a very warm order to gain due compensation here. Patsy Milan finished fourth against geldings in a four-year-old maiden at Rathcannon in the Autumn and she could give the selection a strong challenge although she holds an easier alternative at Tyrella. Nicats Benefit was second around here in December, Lady Robyn was second at Ballinaboola whilst Strangsmill has twice filled the runners-up spot to ensure that this race has a very hot look about it.
