Track Biography:

Boulta point-to-point is run on the lands of the Mulcahy family, which is also a popular schooling grounds.  The first point-to-point at Boulta was held in 2002 and since then they have played host to many point-to-point committees.

Given the fine track that it is, it is no surprise that it has thrown up some leading performers over the years, including a number of notable mares' such as the Colin Bowe pairing of Our Victoria and Askanna, 2010 Irish National winner Bluesea Cracker, and most recently Ms Parfois. Cheltenham Festival winner Ballyalton is another Boulta victor to go on to future big race success.

By Road

From Midleton– Take the Dungourney road towards Tallow and you will see signs for the track on your left.
From Tallow - Take the road towards Dungourney and you will see signs for the track on your right.
From Fermoy- Take the road towards Conna or Ballynoe and follow local signs for the track.

By Air

Our point-to-point is located forty minutes from Cork airport.

The car park is just located in close proximity to the race track beside the home straight so race goers get right up close to action right from their car.

There is disabiltity parking area with fence viewing on the home straight.

There are portaloos and changing facilties for babies on site.

In our bookmakers ring you can view and bet on any off-course races on the day in both England and Ireland.

Our local outside caterer supplier has a variety of catering options available from tasty hot lunches and freshly made sandwiches.

Homemade soup for those looking to warm up in between races will also be available.

There is plenty of choice for all the family.

No, we do not have an official dress code we just advise our race goers to wear warm coats, caps and good footwear.
Dogs are very welcome, but need to be kept on a lead at all times.
Yes, we welcome visitors to bring their own picnics or refreshments but why not treat yourself to a tasty hot lunch from our outside caterers from your race winnings.
In addition to our dog show, horse racing is superb entertainment for both young and old. We are also very fortunate to have a wide open space for children to play safely and enjoy the Irish countryside.
No we do not provide an ATM so we recommend that you make a stop in the nearby towns of Tallow, Midleton or Fermoy on your way to the races.

2003 saw the inaugural meeting of the Clonmult/Dungourney point-to-point following a successful revival of the races last held in the area over 70 years ago.

The races are run under the auspices of the United Hunt. The annual date for the point-to-point is the second Sunday in December and is the last local meeting of the year which makes it the perfect start to the Christmas festivities. So come along and maybe win some money for the holiday season ahead or just enjoy spending a few hours in the company of good friends and neighbours.

Set amongst the beautiful Cork countryside, our well-presented race track with its compact location of parade ring, bookies, finish line and services give a pleasant race day experience close to the action.

On the day we run a dog show and a competition for the most appropriately dressed racegoer at the point-to-point.

Our point-to-point is located thirty minutes away from the seaside resort town of Youghal which has a long sandy beach, an abundance of pubs and restaurants as well as plenty of popular tourist attractions such as the clock gate tower, the Benedictine Priory and the famous Youghal Lighthouse.
