Track Biography:
The Killeagh Point-to-Point races have found a new venue in Carrigarostig which will show off the great scenery around Killeagh and will have some great racing and entertainment throughout the afternoon for all to enjoy. It is generally held in the middle of January. With one of the best viewing tracks for spectators over-looking all five fences, the atmosphere at the finish is often electric according to the jockeys.
It is one of the most accessible Point to Points in Ireland with its location only 1.5 miles off the N25 (Cork/Waterford Road) with the excellent road network leading from all corners of the country.
The Committee of Killeagh Point-to-Point has a large number of racing aficionados from the local community including Owners, Trainers, Breeders and Jockeys to name a few that help out to make Killeagh Point-to-Point successful as it is. We also have plenty of local volunteers that contribute their free time to the committee and love seeing the sport thriving in the rural areas of Ireland.
Our fixture typically draws a large entry each year with trainers from all over Ireland running their horses here at our track.
