How To Get There
By Road
From Cork – Take the M8 to to Jcn 16, from there travel on the R628 until you join the N72. Follow this road to Lismore and the entrance for spectators will be at Lismore Community Centre.
From Waterford - Take the N25 and N72 to Lismore. The entrance for spectators will be via Lismore Community Centre which will be on the right hand side as you drive through the town.

Our point-to-point is located within one hour's drive of Cork Airport.

into Lismore, a well-appointed children’s playground and a number of good restaurants.
The view of the course is unobstructed from the car park and main spectator area which overlook the entire course. The car park is a popular venue for picnics when the weather is kind.
There is an on-course betting ring for those who want to have a flutter.

Fast food, tea, coffee and soft drinks are available from a number of outlets on the course.

There is no dress code but the usual health warning is given for March weather; prepare for the worst and hope for the best. We have had days that began with snow showers and then finished with a heat wave but generally we enjoy mild spring weather on the day.
Dogs are welcome but should be on a lead at all times.
Patrons are welcome to bring their own food and many do and enjoy picnics adjacent to the course.
At our point-to-point, we are lucky to have wide open spaces for children to play in a safe environment also, the West Waterford Hunt will be happy to introduce youngsters to the Hunt horses. The park in Lismore and the children?s playground will be open to the public on race day.
There are no ATM facilities at the course but there are ATM ?s at both the AIB and Bank of Ireland branches in Lismore and also at the supermarket between the banks , all a few minutes? walk from the course.
A day at Lismore point-to-point races is the ideal day out for all the family.

For those with the time and a desire to enjoy the scenery of West Waterford before crossing the Blackwater River Bridge at Youghal take the left turn on the Cork side of the bridge and follow the Blackwater River in a general northerly direction through Knockanore and then follow the signs for Lismore.
One of the real treats of racing at Lismore, is just close racegoers can get to all the action.

Rob James has already sent out one four-year-old winner in recent weeks and he would hold leading claims of repeating the feat with THE OTHER MOZZIE. He was faring well in a competitive race at Kirkistown on his debut and would likely have been placed on debut but for falling at the last. Wolf Walker was a big eye-catcher in Punchestown and it would not be a surprise to see him step up, whilst Jouster and Kap Dange are others with form.

REBEL TREATY only went down by a neck on her debut at Dromahane last year when she had a recent bumper winner in behind her and she is taken to continue the Con McSweeney 100 per cent strike rate for the season. Friars Island Lady finished in front of a number of maiden winners in Umma House but did disappoint somewhat in Lingstown last time, whilst the likes of Barrons Land, No Restrictions and Stellar Symphony add further dept to the challengers.

This has a very competitive look to it with cases to be made for plenty of these but the eye is drawn to FOCUS POINT who goes in search of the hat-trick here following two recent wide-margin successes. He had the measure of the potentially re-opposing Tara Cove in Ballycrystal and should confirm that form here. Asian Master won well in Bellharbour last month and a big run from him would not be out of the question, with a similar comment applying to Guatemala. The horse he beat by 21 lengths with his wide-margin Punchestown success advertised the form when winning in Armagh last weekend and that has to bring him into the equation for this.

Cormac Doyle looks to have found a nice opportunity for his ROMEO MAGICO with this. The Affinisea gelding was well-backed when making his debut in a four-year-old maiden at Broughshane and finishing a close third in a bunched finish. He was unable to back the performance when pulling-up after a mistake two-out in Kirkistown on his return, but this is a big drop in grade and he sets a high standard. Idylee Sauvage was not beaten far in two four-year-old contests last year and would look the most obvious threat.
