Track Biography:
The North Kilkenny Foxhounds date back to 1931 with the first running of their point-to-point in the late 1940's.
The current racecourse at Parksgrove in Ballyragget has been in use since 1989, returning from Gowran Park to the open country, as had been in its formative years.
The right-handed course is practically level throughout making it a great viewing track and a favoured track amongst handlers that always has a large number of entries.
Previous track winners to have won at Ballyragget include former Grade One winner Herecomesthetruth, a maiden winner here in 2007, and former Grade Two winning Luska Lad won the open 2015.

How To Get There
From Dublin
Take the N7 and M8 southbound to the N77 in Laois. Take exit 17 from M7 and continue on the N77 to Ballyragget where the track will be sign posted.
From Cork
Take the M8 northbound to the R693 in Kilkenny. Take exit 4 from the M8 and continue on R639.
By Air
Ballyragget point-to-point is located two hours from Dublin and Cork airport.

No, there is no official dress code, but we do advise that race goers dress weather appropriate and to prepare yourself for all types of Irish weather.
Yes, just make sure they are kept on a leash at all times.
It?s a great location for a picnic from the boot especially if the weather is good.
At our point-to-point, we are lucky to have wide open spaces for children to play in a safe environment.
Do you have an ATM on course?
We don?t have an ATM on site however you will find one at Supervalu in Ballyragget, which is located less than five minutes drive from the track.

The third in that race was a 25-length winner at Turtulla last week to offer a nice form boost. Lifeisahighway bounced back to form when coming up against a smart-looking individual at Borris House a fortnight ago and he is the obvious alternative. Stable companions Businessman and Normofthenorth have also showed potential, whilst the twice-placed Up The Straight, Kirkistown-third Elmdale, and De Hollow Man, who finished placed in a four-year-maiden in the autumn, are others to note.

The daughter of Yeats has posted two very consistent displays of late, beaten by less than two lengths at both Kilfeacle and Nenagh. MOES TAVERN was sent off as the favourite for his debut at Borris House earlier this month and he emerged from it with plenty of credit, when finishing a fine second in deteriorating conditions. He looks to be the one to follow in this. Oscar Asche finished third in a four-year-old maiden behind Angels Breath who was a leading hope for Cheltenham during the week and is still unexposed, whilst Panthers Creek, who only got as far as the fourth on this card 12 months ago, did get among the placings at Curraghmore and would have chances if bouncing back to that.

KRUZHLININ has taken all before him this season, winning seven races on the bounce in open company, and he will look to continue that winning spell here as he prepares for the Aintree Foxhunters next month. There are plenty in here that could offer him a decent challenge, including former Grade 1 winner Road To Riches who returned a long break when second at Carlisle last week, whilst reigning champion pointer will be better than what he showed at Navan. Whilst still remaining a maiden, LIFEISAHIGHWAY put up a big display at Borris House recently in a five-year-old maiden, a race which saw the front pair pull well clear of remainder, in a piece of form which should be good enough to win this. Crutches Lad won well on the same Borris card and will be expected to go well here, as too will Lough Derg Lyric who got off the mark at Kirkistown.

Kildrum is long overdue a maiden success, however he disappointed at Lingstown last Sunday, and so the preference has to be given to the luckless LARCADIO. He looked home and hosed at Bandon at the beginning of the month in very testing conditions, only to tip up at the last. Compensation can be claimed here. Moes Tavern has an easier alternative earlier on the card, Tipp Away finished a fine second on his first start for a new yard when re-appearing at Tinahely, whilst Verticalpebble makes a quick re-appearance having finished third at Belclare last Sunday.
