Track Biography:
Boulta point-to-point is run on the lands of the Mulcahy family, which is also a popular schooling grounds. The first point-to-point at Boulta was held in 2002 and since then they have played host to many point-to-point committees.
Given the fine track that it is, it is no surprise that it has thrown up some leading performers over the years, including a number of notable mares' such as the Colin Bowe pairing of Our Victoria and Askanna, 2010 Irish National winner Bluesea Cracker, and most recently Ms Parfois. Cheltenham Festival winner Ballyalton is another Boulta victor to go on to future big race success.

From Midleton– Take the Dungourney road towards Tallow and you will see signs for the track on your left.
From Tallow - Take the road towards Dungourney and you will see signs for the track on your right.
From Fermoy- Take the road towards Conna or Ballynoe and follow local signs for the track.

We also have a sweet vendor on the day who sell a variety of confectionary for those who have a sweet tooth.

In our catering tent there is tea and coffee available and homemade soup for those looking to warm up in between races.
Our outside caterer will also have a wide range of refreshments and hot drinks on offer.
There is plenty of choice for all the family.
No, we do not have an official dress code we just advise our race goers to wear warm coats, caps and good footwear.
Yes, we welcome visitors to bring their own picnics or refreshments but why not treat yourself to a tasty hot lunch from our hospitality tent or outside caterers from your race winnings.
Yes, dogs are welcome to attend the meeting but must be kept on a lead with an adult at all times.
There will be a face painting artist available free of charge to keep the children entertained on the day.
No, we do not have any ATM facilities at our location but it is advisable to stop in either Killeagh or Castlemartyr (both 2 miles from track) to withdraw cash before entering the race meeting.

Youghal has something to suit all of the family from pubs, restaurants, long sandy beaches as well as plenty of popular tourist attractions such as the clock gate tower, the Benedictine Priory and the famous Youghal Lighthouse.

The Peter Flood-trained TOKYO GETAWAY showed nice progression when stepping up to finish second at Mainstown recently behind The Cull Bank and she is going the right way. Elk Bridge has been consistent, and has two placed efforts around here to her name, whilst Achy Breaky Heart ran well for a long way on her debut last Sunday. Of the newcomers, Joseph OBrien has a half-sister to Lust For Glory in Miss Pernickety, whilst Liam Burke has Ethrea Colombe, a French-bred for Walter Connors.

Kilkenny handler Kieran Purcell will have high hopes of doubling his tally between the flags this season with SPEEDY CARGO, who finished second at Mainstown earlier in the month in a big field maiden. It wont take much further improvement to win this. Oscarman was no match for Bourbon Borderline at Dromahane over the Chirstmas period but is progressing, whilst Global Fame finished fourth in a competitive four-year-old maiden at Tattersalls Farm before Christmas, and represents a yard that were among the winners last weekend.

Barely a weekend has gone by in recent months that the Declan Queally yard has not been among the winners in recent months, and his ASK HEATHER and Givemylovetorose are both out to win their third races on the bounce. The former has really turned a corner since joining the Queally yard and beat some nice types at Mainstown recently. Fort Worth Texas won a four-year-old maiden at Dromahane and therefore has to be respected, whilst Kilbree Shadow is in great form of late and she won around here last month.

We have seen plenty of SADHBHS DELIGHT, however she comes into this fresh from a career best performance at Tinahely last Sunday, where she really put it up to a younger horse in a big-field maiden which saw the front pair draw well clear. If not inconvenienced by the quick turnaround, she could be the one to follow here. Upperstown Prince took a big step forward at Mainstown, Gold Tim is consistent, whilst Trumps Ace disappointed around here last month, but has track form.

The first two horses home from the open that was run here last month could potentially re-oppose, and Thunder And Roses now has that first run of the season under his belt, so it would be no surprise to see him get closer to Arctic Skipper here, however it may be FENNOS STORM that is the one to beat. The eight-year-old ran a cracking race on his seasonal reappearance at Templencarriga and was one of the rising stars within this division last season. No horse has won more races this season than Longhouse Music, whilst her stable companion Some Are Lucky could return from a mid-season break, having won twice earlier in the campaign.

SHANACOOLE stands out in this contest with placed four-year-old maiden form to his name, and although he must overcome an absence of over a year, he may be the one to side with in this one. Blue Templar was only narrowly denied in the Ladies Cup at Punchestown, however he has been a beaten favourite in each of his three outings in older maidens to date, which may leave the likes of My Oakclahome, Witness Protection or Utmost Faith, are some potential dangers.
