Near the Giants Causeway, Dunluce Castle and Bushmills Distillery to name a few places of interest. Colin Bowe won this races 12 months ago and INVICTA DU BERLAIS would look to give him a good chance of repeating the feat. He finished second on quick ground at Tyrella on debut and could have the edge over Castle Swan and All Star Boy, with Ballybrittas perhaps his biggest danger, as although he is one of the more experienced in the line-up he was going well in front when falling two-out at Loughanmore over Easter on his penultimate start, and a return to that form would give him big claims.

CLASHHILL had a subsequent 16-length maiden winner behind him when finishing second in heavy ground at Durrow on debut last season, and whilst he failed to back up that promising debut a month later in Moira, he is worth a second chance following the summer break. Syr Maffos has more recent experience to draw upon having finished second last Saturday on his debut in this sphere, but it may be Primitic that is the biggest danger as he finished in front of the selection on his debut at Moira, and hails from a stable that have started the season strongly.

SPRINGTIME PROMISE was placed three times when under the care of Ciaran Murphy, and having made a respectable stable debut at Ballinrobe in August when fifth on hurdling debut, her new connections could have found a nice opportunity in this. Penthouse Poppet may be a newcomer to this sphere but she showed promise over hurdles on her penultimate start at Punchestown which could bring her into the equation, alongside Ideal Dilemma who ran last weekend and could improve from it.

David Christie has won the last six open races on the trot at this venue in a run which stretches back to 2019, and he also looks to hold all the aces in this years renewal. Bold Enough was a winning machine through the spring with eight wins on the trot, whilst stablemate VAUCELET is a top-class hunter chaser who has already won three times at this venue including in the last two renewals of this race. He is hard to oppose. Of the others, the 124-rated hurdler Wowsham and the ex-Alan King Jay Bee Why, are new additions to this division.

ANNAGHBEG and Ballybentragh filled the first two positions at Moira in April, and whilst the latter has since changed stables after being purchased 100,000 at the sales, Annaghbeg had eight lengths to spare on that occasion. Raceview Road dominated at Toomebridge last Saturday when defeating the potentially re-opposing Hathaways Cottage by ten lengths, and he has race fitness on his side.

KELLYISCOOL may remain a maiden at the age of nine but he has run plenty of creditable efforts in defeat for a number of trainers, finishing placed in seven of his 21 starts under rules, including over fences at Cartmel on his penultimate outing in July. His experience could stand to him here. Josies Dylan is the obvious danger as he bids to make amends for his mid-race departure at Toomebridge last Saturday, whilst Coothill and Presenting Cody are two horses on the comeback trail who both have decent form to their names.
