Track Biography:
The point-to-point track at Ballycrystal is held on the lands of point-to-point handler Matthew Flynn O'Connor in Kiltealy.
The first meeting took place in January 2020 under the auspices of the Ballinagore Hunt Club, the Island Foxhounds have also used this track for their Autumn fixture.
The course itself is a left handed track and the runners will go downhill for a furlong and a half before it levels out. There is a gentle rise to the line.
In all it is a mile around on each circuit with fives fences. Three of the fences are jumped in the home straight, and all of them come before the winning post. There is another fence at top of the course and the fifth fence is in the back straight.

How To Get There
By Road
From Dublin - Take N7 and M9 to N80 in Carlow. Take exit 5 from M9. Follow N80 and R746 in Wexford, track will be signposted.
From Cork - Follow N8 to E Cork and N25 to Quay St/R500 in New Ross. Take R729 and R731. Continue straight onto R746, track will be signposted.

Combined with our free parking, we are lucky to have a clear viewing track that allows racegoers to get up close to the action, often from the comfort of their car, should they wish to bring their own picnic for the family.
There is a betting ring located close to the parade ring, allowing racegoers to throw an eye over the runners before deciding on what horse warrants a wager. Off-course betting on Irish and UK race meetings is available.

Weir Lane offered encouragement before coming down at the last in Tattersalls when make her debut, whilst Caught A Vibe comes here fresh from a break and did show improvement between her opening two autumn efforts.

INCHIQUIN SPIRIT was just over four lengths behind the ill-fated subsequent track winner Thermusa when finishing third at Dawstown last May when she had two subsequent maiden winners immediately behind her. Although she was unable to take a notable step forward from it in Ballingarry, the Dawstown form reads well and she should have improved following a summers break. Miss Drussell is the obvious danger although she to come back from a disappointing run at Tattersalls, with her stable mate Smell The Roses potentially next best.

Denis Murphy won the only previous running of this race back in 2020 and he looks to have a strong hand once again courtesy of SERGEANT MOSS and Flash Du Pistolet. The pair do hold alternative engagements earlier on the card, but this would look to be an easier option. The former is proven around here having posted a career best at this venue in October when chasing home Old Style Humor. A repeat of that could give him the edge. Money From America only made his debut last Sunday in testing conditions but would be factor if turning out again quickly.
