Track Biography:

Point-to-Point racing has a long and rich history at the scenic location of Fairwood Park, Tinahely, since 1989. Fairwood Park also plays host to the Tinahely Agricultural Show each summer which is one of Ireland's longest running agricultural show.

Jamie Codd, who is the second winning-most point-to-point rider in the history of the sport became the first modern day rider to ride all six winners on the one card at Tinahely in October 2011.

Previous track winners to have won at Tinahely include former Grade One winner Fundamentalist and Cheltenham Gold Cup runner-up On His Own.

Tinahely is situated in the heart of the Wicklow countryside, the garden of Ireland. Located just an hour and half from the bustle of Dublin city, Tinahely is a pretty village in south west Wicklow that offers a variety of walking opportunities and a gateway to the beautiful Irish landscape.

NT FIELD MINNESOTA was unable to back to up her very promising Loughanmore debut when re-appearing two weeks later at Lisronagh, but returning fresh from a break, she could have a nice opportunity to open her account in this. Coco Mademoiselle was a notable market mover ahead of her Lingstown debut in November and whilst she was unable to justify the support on that occasion, it will be interesting to see if she can step forward here.

Ryehill was no match for Forcing Bull who has since disappointed on rules debut when he made his debut at Loughbrickland and so it might be worth siding with HAPPY VICTORY on his debut in this sphere. He was only beaten just over seven lengths in a Limerick bumper last season. The Mass Patth was still in front when coming down two-out at Lingstown in November but could not gain compensation when disappointing at Borris House. Newtowns West finished fifth in that same Lingstown contest on what was his stable debut and is entitled to have improved.

HARDLINE has been a model of consistency this season finishing in the money in each of his four outings and deserves to have his consistency rewarded having finished in front of the potentially reopposing Lough Derg Spirit at Borris House last time. He should confirm that form over the previous course winner here. Somptueux did not take to the banks at Punchestown on his last start but is a 135-rated chaser and deserving of respect on his return to the pointing fields.

GARCON DARGENT ran out a wide-margin winner of his maiden at this venue back in November and he looks the one to beat as he bids to double up. Sizing Diamond was a convincing winner of his maiden at Necarne, and although it was only a small-field contest he certainly looks the obvious danger.

ELUSIVE MAE lost her best chance of a maiden victory to date when make a serious blunder at the final fence here in October, and whilst she might have disappointed when returning to Tinahely in November, she bounced back with a very creditable effort against geldings at Borris House to ensure she would not be winning out of turn. Coleenymore is very unexposed and is certainly capable of stepping forward from her debut whilst Robintou Night could be a factor if bouncing back from a couple of non-completions.

FOCUS POINT made a very pleasing return to action at Borris House when setting a strong gallop to finish second behind the race fit Gray Rock and he should be the answer to this. Ahaknowyerself posted two strong efforts last season and returns to action for the first time since February whilst Royal Finesse and Carrigeen Castle are others with claims.
