Track Biography:

Point-to-Point racing has a long and rich history at the scenic location of Fairwood Park, Tinahely, since 1989. Fairwood Park also plays host to the Tinahely Agricultural Show each summer which is one of Ireland's longest running agricultural show.

Jamie Codd, who is the second winning-most point-to-point rider in the history of the sport became the first modern day rider to ride all six winners on the one card at Tinahely in October 2011.

Previous track winners to have won at Tinahely include former Grade One winner Fundamentalist and Cheltenham Gold Cup runner-up On His Own.

Tinahely is situated in the heart of the Wicklow countryside, the garden of Ireland. Located just an hour and half from the bustle of Dublin city, Tinahely is a pretty village in south west Wicklow that offers a variety of walking opportunities and a gateway to the beautiful Irish landscape.

Colin Bowe has started the season with real purpose and his DONT WALK AWAY could continue that good form by getting his head in front at the third time of asking. He may have been a beaten favourite on his return to action at Oldcastle on the opening day of the season, however he was only beaten two lengths on that occasion and may have the edge over the improving Hector Javilex from the Denis Murphy yard.

Clear Ability could be set for a quick re-appearance after he raced keenly from the front at Loughrea last Sunday, only to be collared close home in soft ground. Conditions could be quicker here and it may be the slightly fresher JIMS APPLE who comes out on top after she too finished second in her latest effort, that coming behind Sevenofus at Castletown-Geoghegan. Sagecraft, Dianaprince and Sadie Yeats are others with claims.

HARD LINES took a notable step forward on his stable debut with a career best effort to finish third at Castletown-Geoghegan two weeks ago. That race winner Coastguard Station has since won again to advertise the form and it may not take much further improved for Hard Lines to follow suit. Of the others with experience, there may not be a lot separating Gouazec, Hurricane Joey, Kayf Baha and What A Time in the place battle.

CROI CORCRA ended last season on a winning note when getting her head in front on the final day of the season at Grennan. As a four-year-old, she will have the advantage of a valuable 5lb age allowance and that could prove key. Alice OByrne stayed on strongly on her stable debut at Moira last Saturday and is sure to have improved whilst Fiery Brown made a winning debut at Loughrea just last Sunday and is interesting.

Two former impressive winners around here could clash in MIGHTY STOWAWAY and Some Man, with the former possibly having the fitness edge courtesy of his Castletown-Geoghegan fourth when he ran well for a long way before giving way close home. Having won this race by a distance last year a big run is expected. Stablemate Its All Guesswork ended last season by chasing home Staker Wallace in a Hunter Chase, and like Samanntom, who has eye-catching form that has been franked notably from Monksgrange, they both hold alternative entries in Umma House.

HONOUR THE MASTER made a very pleasing debut when he finished third at Castletown-Geoghegan a fortnight ago in a decent race and he could stap up to take this. Five Dollar Fine went close on his debut 18 months ago and a return to that form would see him enter the equation alongside Whinny Island and track recruit The Creadan Rogue.
