Track Biography:
We are a local Farmers hunt, dating back to 1860 and became a hunt club in 1917.
It first started hunt on Thursdays and then moved to hunting on Sundays.
We now hunt two days a week Saturdays and Wednesdays. The country hunted is mainly banks and ditches.
We help many charitable caused in the Limerick area, to mention a few Milford Care Centre, Mid -Western Cancer Foundation Ltd, Children’s Arch Unit University Hospital Limerick, Daughters Charity St Vincent’s, Liskenett Equine Therapy Centre.

How To Get There
By Road:
From Nenagh, Tipperary, Clare take the N20 to Cork/Tralee and come off at junction 4 for Patrickswell, at the roundabout take first exit for Limerick Race Course, continue on to the T junction (Crecora Church) take a right, continue on about a mile past Crecora Cross (post office on your right) course on your right (less than 300 yards).

Combined with our free parking, we are lucky to have a clear viewing track that allows race goers to get up close to the action, often from the comfort of their car, should they wish to bring their own picnic for the family.
There are certain parts of the track that can be used to facilitate disabled parking so as to cater for every eager race goer.
The bookmakers ring is conveniently situated in close proximity to the parade. Check out all the runners before deciding where to place your hard earned cash!

In between races, spectators can avail of a variety of catering options provided.
Outside caterers provide tasty beef burgers, sausages, chips with tea, coffee and soft drinks on the day.
All please visit our hospitality tent where we have a wide range of sandwiches, biscuits and cakes on offer.
The venue lends itself very well to family picnics when the weather is favourable.

We are very lucky to have a very hard-working ladies committee who volunteer to run a food tent, serving tea, coffee, cakes and sandwiches.
This tent is open after the third race and everybody is welcome to come in and enjoy all the home-made food.
All donations taken given to Milford Hospice.
There is no official dress code. It is an out door event, so advise race goers to stay warm and dry for the day and prepare your self for all types of weather.
Yes, you can bring your dog, but we do ask you keep on a lead at all time.
Yes, spectators are welcome to bring the own picnics.
No, but because the children can get up close to the action we find they love watching the races.
No ATM on course. There is one in the local shop in Patrickwell or at the Banks in Raheen.

Ballycahane point-to-point is the perfect day out for the family in the countryside and as an added bonus for parents all children U16 have free admission.
With Limerick city only a short distance from the track, there is an endless amount of attractions to keep you busy within the area. The picturesque town of Killarney is also only an hour and half drive from the point-to-point.

KEEP WONDERING has held a number of entries over recent weeks, and whilst he is yet to make his seasonal reappearance, if he was to show up here, he would have to be given a big chance on account of beating three subsequent maiden winners when second in a competitive four-year-old at Oldcastle in May. Happy Larry ran well to finish third at Cragmore on debut and is the alternative to the selection, Eclair Surf made much of the running on his way to finishing third at Lisronagh in the autumn and is back from a mid-season break, whilst Lifeisahoney and Treacys Jim are others to have shown form in the past that should make the shortlist.

Frank And Honest was running a big race on her debut at Tyrella prior to departing at the last and will be expected to go close, whilst the likes of Seangoell, Old Dominon, Trumps Ace, Oscar Bonnie and West Vintage complete the many potential contenders in a competitive heat.

Her connections will be hoping that she can make amends here in a race where she may once again face that eventual race winner in Holly Flight who came from a long way back to win on her open debut. Givemylovetorose is the particularly interesting contender in this as she has been working her way up through the ranks in style this season, winning four races in the process. This is her first start in open company and she can be expected to put up a bold display.

KILDRUM was caught late on by a horse that came from well off the pace in Kildorrery last Sunday and will out for quick compensation just seven days later. Cotton Rock was only beaten by a head at Tallow, whilst Vinnies Nephue also had to settle for the runners-up spot on his latest competitive outing in what was a big field race at Kileacle entitling him to big claims here. Of the others, the Sam Curling-trained Berkerys Enigma may only have finished fifth on his debut at Nenagh recently, but he made good late progress to come from off the pace in an eye-catching debut, whilst Dubai Dandy has five placed efforts to his name and is sure to be there or thereabouts.
