Track Biography:

Point-to-Point racing has a long and rich history at the scenic location of Fairwood Park, Tinahely, since 1989. Fairwood Park also plays host to the Tinahely Agricultural Show each summer which is one of Ireland's longest running agricultural show.

Jamie Codd, who is the second winning-most point-to-point rider in the history of the sport became the first modern day rider to ride all six winners on the one card at Tinahely in October 2011.

Previous track winners to have won at Tinahely include former Grade One winner Fundamentalist and Cheltenham Gold Cup runner-up On His Own.

Tinahely is situated in the heart of the Wicklow countryside, the garden of Ireland. Located just an hour and half from the bustle of Dublin city, Tinahely is a pretty village in south west Wicklow that offers a variety of walking opportunities and a gateway to the beautiful Irish landscape.

The Paul Pierce-trained AIRGEAD SUAS has narrowly missed out on maiden success in the two races she contested last month at Corbeagh House and Tattersalls Farm, and it would be no surprise to see her following-up those initial promising efforts by getting her head in front here. Dime A Dozen could make a quick reappearance having finished second for the third time in a row just last Sunday at Mainstown, and she would be a live alternative. Sadhbhs Delight is next best of those with form.

We have seen quite a bit of some of these and so it may be worth following the returning PRESENTANDCOUNTING. Philip Dempsey has his string in great form at present, and this son of Presenting was sent off as the favourite for a 2m4f maiden at Punchestown on his debut in February when only beaten by five lengths. Of those with more recent experience, Pres finished a commendable third at Corbeagh House behind two nice types, and he could be one to watch. Eclair Des Sablons went close at Lisronagh, but would need to bounce back from what he produced at Lingstown, whilst stable companion, De Hollow Man, alongside Whatsupwithyou, Vinnie Dev and Clondaw Promise are others for the short list.

KRUZHLININ was a very easy winner around here in November, and he returns back between the flags following a respectable run in Hunter Chase company at Down Royal over Christmas. Stable companion Ucello Conti is an obvious eye-catcher as he seeks to get hunter chase qualification having finished placed in a number of valuable handicaps on the track in recent times. All Hell Let Loose and Alelchi Inois are others to have reached a high level on the track, whilst Venitien De Mai could make his return to action having placed in the Tetretema and Joseph OReilly Hunter Chases last season.

Proven around here having finished first and second in back-to-back starts at the course in the autumn, NO MORE MONKEYS ran particularly well at Corbeagh House on his penultimate start and could be the one to follow for local connections in this. Stablemates Be One and Woodbrook Boy won British point-to-points at Barbury last month, with the former landing a point-to-point bumper on what was just his debut.

SHUIL LUAS was a real eye-catcher when coming from off the pace to finished second against geldings at Corbeagh House last month on what was her seasonal reappearance. Back against her own sex here, she would look the obvious one to follow in this. Beliou Le Fume disappointed against geldings at Lingstown, but prior to that, she had just missed out at Damma House and would seem to be the main danger on that form.

MUSTMEETFORAPINT has been in good form throughout the autumn, almost making amends for his late departure at Moig South when narrowly denied at Turtulla. After falling at Limerick over Christmas, a clean round of jumping would see him as a likely contender here. Hollybank King ran very well against winners in that same Hunter Chase over Christmas, on what was his return following a lay off, and therefore improvement can be expected. He has notable Portrush form and so is a serious danger. Getaway Home, Mista Wabbit Man and Bronco Bill often run well in these races and are other possible place finishers.
