Track Biography:

Point-to-Point racing has a long and rich history at the scenic location of Fairwood Park, Tinahely, since 1989. Fairwood Park also plays host to the Tinahely Agricultural Show each summer which is one of Ireland's longest running agricultural show.

Jamie Codd, who is the second winning-most point-to-point rider in the history of the sport became the first modern day rider to ride all six winners on the one card at Tinahely in October 2011.

Previous track winners to have won at Tinahely include former Grade One winner Fundamentalist and Cheltenham Gold Cup runner-up On His Own.

Tinahely is situated in the heart of the Wicklow countryside, the garden of Ireland. Located just an hour and half from the bustle of Dublin city, Tinahely is a pretty village in south west Wicklow that offers a variety of walking opportunities and a gateway to the beautiful Irish landscape.

ITS ALL A LARK has shown a consistent level of form throughout the autumn campaign in four-year-old races, and although she was a beaten favourite at Knockinroe when finishing behind Expresstime, that horse has franked the form at Templencarriga earlier this month. She could take a step forward here. Queens Magic has not been seen since finishing third in a grief-stricken end of season maiden at Ballingarry in 2016 and will face a much different test here, whilst Cavs Girl cannot be dismissed, although her supporters would have to forgive a below par display at Borris House. Track recruit Bold Sky has her pointing and stable debut having been running under rules for Henry de Bromhead during the summer.

CONNARD was not cheaply bought, as he came with a 110,000 Euros price tag as a three-year-old. He ran well for a long way on his debut at Mainstown, before coming down at the second-last. That was in the race won by Straight Red who realised 300,000 pounds in the Cheltenham sales ring. Megalodon is a half-brother to Stingthebookies, a point winner last season, and he represents a yard whose runners always have to be respected. Bunninadden, who was fourth here in November, and Decor Irlandais, who took a step forward at Moira are others for the shortlist.

MARINERO chased home Thistlecrack at Cheltenham last season, and he could have his first start in open company here on what is also his debut for David Christie, after being bought out of the Henry de Bromhead yard following a busy summer. A back-to-form Chapter Two could provide his main danger as she has proven herself at this venue, beating geldings on this card 12 months ago. Adamstown was no match for Gilgamboa at Down Royal over Christmas, but will be more competitive in this grade, whilst Aupcharlie is yet to recapture his form of last season which saw him win a hunter chase at Fairyhouse.

A wide-open contest which may fall the way of WELL BILL on his seasonal reappearance. The Oscar gelding was a consistent sort last spring following his Durrow success and this could be an opportunity for him to double up. Mainstown runner-up Johns Choice was well-beaten by Longhouse Music on that occasion, but this looks a more winnable contest.

LADY MANGAN disappointed at Templencarriga on New Years Eve, but if that significantly below par performance can be excused, her efforts at both Ballingarry and more recently at Borris House, entitle her to go close. Raphena Rose powered home late at Turtulla in November and this track should suit. After finishing in front of two subsequent winners on that occasion, she has to be taken seriously for this, whilst Vivalino is never too far away in races of this nature.

KEEL OVER has been a busy campaigner this season as he could have his sixth start of the campaign here, seven days after another consistent showing at Aghabullogue when chasing home Emerald Chieftan. He is sure to have his day at some point this season. Thinkinginmysleep was only narrowly beaten at Dowth Hall and this will be more his grade after finishing eleventh over the banks at Punchestown, although he was behind Lighting Tunes on that occasion who finished eighth behind stable companion Mtada Supreme and he is proven around here having finished second to Streets Of Milan in October.
