Track Biography:
The Iveagh hunt was established in 1825 and is a famous hunt that has its place in Baily’s chronology of master ship.
We hold two point-to-points during the season, one in the autumn and one in the spring.
How To Get There
By Road
From Dublin – Take the M1 from the city and follow the road for Belfast until you see signs for Moira. From Moira town follow signs for the point-to-point.
From Belfast- Take the M1 until Moira. From Moira follow the signs for the point-to-point which is located on the A3.
By Air
Our point-to-point is located 30 minutes from Belfast International airport and 30 minutes from Belfast city airport.

The Graham McKeever-trained MISTERCOBAR was running a big race on his debut at Loughanmore recently when falling two-out, and that recent race fitness should stand to him here. Clondaw Castle was not totally disgraced against the impressive Caderyn on his debut at Horse & Jockey last season, and this nicely bred Oscar gelding who is a full-brother to the 137-rated hurdler Red Devil Boys, should be of note here following the summer break. There are also a number of well-bred newcomers entered here and the market should give an indication of what is expected from them on their debut.

LOUGHSHORE was only beaten less than 2 lengths in testing conditions at Loughanmore a fortnight ago, and that recent race fitness will stand to her as she looks to get off the mark on her fourth career outing. Willflywontsink has form to overturn with the selection, whilst Shanklys Dawn was very well-supported ahead of her pointing debut at Tinahely having finished placed over hurdles during the summer, however she could only manage third. Devitosgoldengirl finished a fair fourth on her debut, and is open to improvement which could bring her into contention.

LEAGUE OF HIS OWN produced a notable front-running performance on his return between the flags at Loughanmore earlier this month where he had the potentially re-opposing Theatre One a comfortable 8 lengths in arrears. If he was able to re-produce that effort, he will likely not be far away. Spuds Trouble is a previous course winner taking taken his maiden at the track in the spring, whilst Kraken Tale and Benarty Hill are both consistent performers at this level and can get involved in the place battle.

ROI DU MEE has bypassed a number of potential engagement over the past number of weeks, however if he was to line-up here, it would be hard to look past this former Grade 1 winner. Maple Mons was unlucky to get no further than the opening fence at Lisronagh last week which ended her winning streak, but she is very capable, whilst Loughanmore-third Balnaslow and former Champion point-to-pointer Mr Bolt can also get involved if re-producing their best.

The consistent FLABELLO finished placed in two of his last three starts last season, and he therefore brings the strongest form into what is a very open contest. The Jim Dreaper-trained Delkantra only got as far as the second fence at Loughanmore earlier this month on his latest appearance, however he has a number of fair form lines and would look the main danger.
