Track Biography:
The Pigeon Hill Committee and the Carrigtwohill Committee amalgamated in 1958 to form the Pigeon Hill & Carrigtwohill point-to-point Committee.
They have organised a Point-to-Point in the Carrigtwohill area ever since. 2018 is the 60th Anniversary of this race meeting.
Traditionally race day has been an occasion when the people of the parish came out in large numbers to enjoy a day of fun and activity.

The excellent condition and quality of the Ballyvodock track historically has attracted a large number of entries from owners and trainers from all over Ireland.
How To Get There
By Road
The course at Ballyvodock is conveniently located between Carrigtwohill and Midleton on the southern side of the N25 Motorway.
It will be signposted from both Midleton and Carrigtwohill.
It is only 20 minutes from the Jack Lynch Tunnel down the N25 Motorway.
By Air
Our point-to-point is located thirty minutes from Cork airport.

Lauras Lark hails from the in-form Declan Queally team, however she has to step out of Confined company here, ensuring So Sorry Sarah could prove to be the most meaningful danger to the selection, as she had twice finished second prior to a non-finish at Tinahely earlier in the month.

Hit The Upright and Carraig Thuathail hold easier alternative entries at Nenagh.

He has been off the track for well over a year which is the concern, however if anywhere near his best, he should prove too good here. Davies Delight was well beaten in a similar contest at Templencarriga recently and seems to favour quicker ground.

BENNYS GIRL was unfortunate to be brought down at Killeagh earlier in the month, and she should receive due compensation in this as she is a thoroughly consistent performer. Lastpop and Leaders Choice are both last time out maiden winners with little likely separating them having finished within a short-head of each other at Lisronagh in December. They face tougher tasks here against the battle-hardened selection, however they are on the upgrade and offer the principal danger.

HARRY THE LEMON makes his debut for his new yard and it could well be a winning one as he was last seen finished placed over fences on the track for James Ewart. With that level of recent form to his name, he could have the experience to come out on top here. Sweet As A Nut was the subject of significant market support ahead of his debut at Boulta in December, and whilst he could not convert that market confidence into a winning performance, he did produce a solid effort and may be worth watching once again in the market ahead of this effort, as he does look the main alternative.
