Track Biography:

The Mid-Antrim Hunt was formally set up in the 1870’s as a harrier pack, although it was in existence for at least a hundred years before that. It was believed to have had its first official meeting in The Thatch Pub in Broughshane in 1875.

The Mid Antrim point-to-point Course is just outside Moneyglass very close to Toomebridge. Toome or Toomebridge (from Irish: Tuaim, meaning "tumulus"), is a small village and townland on the northwest corner of Lough Neagh in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Moneyglass was at one time home to Malachy McCourt and his family who was the father of Frank McCourt, author of Angela's Ashes, a winner of The Pulitzer Prize, the NBCC Award, The LA Times Award and the Royal Society of Literature Award.
 
Champion National Hunt jockey and 2010 BBC Sports Personality of the Year winner, Tony McCoy, who received an OBE in 2010, was born in Moneyglass.

Another sports star reared in Moneyglass was world famous Rugby Union player Willie John McBride who capped for Ireland on 63 occasions which includes 12 times as Captain.

By Road:

From Belfast, take the M2 towards Antrim. Toomebridge is 45 minutes from Belfast city.

From Dublin, take the M1 towards Belfast. From Belfast take the M2.

By Air

Toomebridge is located two hours and 15 minutes from Dublin airport and 30 minutes from Belfast airport.

LETTER EXIT has been third three times and furthermore has form around this course so it is very hard to oppose him here. Areema showed promise on his debut for Ian Ferguson and can represent the main danger to the selection as can his stable companion Fagan who has bumper form which is notable. Buffalo Brave made a promising debut at Ballybunion so could be worth noting also.
