Track Biography:

Bree Foxhounds who stage a fixture during the Autumn also traditionally hold two fixtures during the Spring campaign at the Wexford track.

The track is owned by the Hill family of Dawn Run fame is one of the finest in the South East of Ireland and is well supported as a schooling venue and as a point to point fixture.

Grade 1 winner, Samcro won his point-to-point maiden at Monksgrange in 2016 for local handler Colin Bowe.

A day out at Monksgrange point-to-point is a perfect day in the Irish countryside for all the family.

How To Get There

By Road 
From New Ross:- On N30 (signposted Enniscorthy, Dublin (N11)).  Turn left onto the R731 (signposted Rathnure, Borris (R729)). Continue forward onto the R729. Branch right onto the R731 (signposted Bunclody). Continue forward entering Ballywilliam. Bear left onto the R731 entering Rathnure.  Eircode: Y21 PT85
 
From Bunclody:- From market square R746 at crossroads turn right onto R702. Continue on R702 entering into Kiltealy.  Continue forward on R730. Turn right onto R731. Bear right on R731 entering Killanne. Eircode: Y21 PT85
 
From Enniscorthy:- From the bridge onto Castle hill.  At roundabout first exit onto Mill Park Road - N30 (signposted New Ross, waterford(N25). Turn right onto the R730 (signposted Kiltealy).  Continue forward until you reach a crossroads and turn left(signposted Rathnure) Eircode: Y21 PT85
 
From Wexford:- At new ross roundabout take 3rd exit onto N11(signposted Dublin). Turn left onto R730(signposted Heritage park and kiltealy).  Continue forward onto R730 through Killurin. At t junction turn right onto N30 (signposted Enniscorthy). Turn left onto the R730 (signposted Kiltealy).  Continue forward until you reach a crossroad and turn left(signposted Rathnure).  Eircode: Y21 PT85

Combined with our free parking, we are lucky to have a clear viewing track that allows racegoers to get up close to the action, often from the comfort of their car, should they wish to bring their own picnic for the family.

There are certain parts of the track that can be used to facilitate disabled parking so as to cater for every eager racegoer.

There is a betting ring located close to the parade ring, allowing racegoers to throw an eye over the runners before deciding on what horse warrants a wager. Off-course betting on Irish and UK race meetings is available.

A day at Monksgrange point-to-point is a perfect family day out, bring a picnic and enjoy the fantastic racing on offer.

On the day our on site catering facility will be sell a range of fast food including chips, burgers and sausages.

If you are after something a little sweet, there will be a confectionary stall offering chocolate, sweets and crisps.

If the weather is good to us we are hoping that an Ice cream van will be on site.

There will a range of hot and cold drinks available from our onsite catering providers.

No, we do not have a dress for our point-to-point, we suggest you dress appropiately for the Irish Spring weather !

We are lucky enough to have wide-open space suitable for children to play in a safe environment.
No, there is not an ATM on course. Please ensure to stop off on the way to pick up some cash.

Bree Hunt point-to-point is the perfect day out for the family in the countryside. Bring a picnic and enjoy lunch Al Fresco under the back drop of the Blackstairs Mountains.

Race goers have the opportunity to get a close up of the action when the runners are being saddled and paraded in the parade ring before their race.
