The Carbery Hunt has being running point-to-point races for over fifty years. Racing has being run on the present course for over thirty years, before that races were held on the famous mountain racecourse in Waterfall.
2006 Cheltenham Foxhunter winner, Whyso Mayo won his last race at Bandon at the age of 15 having won here on four occasions during his career. He was owned and bred by Mr Edward O’Driscoll, Master of the Carberry Foxhounds.
Set amongst the beautiful Cork countryside, our well-presented race track with its compact location of parade ring, bookies, finish line and services give a pleasant race day experience close to the action.
Our point-to-point is a great family day in the fresh air out for all ages to enjoy. Our point-to-point is located only half an hour away from Cork city which makes it the ideal location to combine a weekend city break and a day out in the country.
